AEGEE-Leiden app

Project overview

The AEGEE-Leiden App is my biggest coding project to date. It was my first encounter with app development when I started the project along with two others in 2020. Large parts of the current codebase are written by me, and I have actively contributed to it as of 2026. The app centralizes activities, posts, and member info for the association, as well as storing important files such as photo albums and general assembly documents.

What I created

• A feature rich cross-platform (Android, iOS, web) app with feed, calendar, member signups, a file resource directory and an admin dashboard.
• An advanced backend for authentication, real-time data updates, file storage, notifications and integrations.
• Documentation and handover so new developers can continue the project and board members can maintain it the content and member base.

Outcome

The app replaced fragmented communication channels and stayed in active use through multiple updates. It continuous to be the main source of information for association members to this day.
